Next Day at the Capitol – March 10, 2020

Dedicated volunteers are essential to making this meaningful event happen next year!

Please contact us if you would be interested to volunteer to help as a Legislative Liaison, DAC Event Coordinator, Apple Pie Coordinator, or be willing to Make and Deliver a Homemade Apple Pie.

Our positive presence at the Capitol is very important in preserving our homeschool freedoms!

The Home Educator’s Day at the Capitol is a great educational experience for the entire family!  There’s no better way to teach your children Washington State Civics than to visit the seat of our state government, to visit your legislators, and to learn first hand how our government and citizen participation work!

Why Attend the Day at the Capitol?

In order to stand up for our homeschooling freedoms we need to stand together, we need to be informed, and most importantly, we need to come to Olympia and let our voices be heard! Take a break from your regular school day and join us in Olympia to honor the hardworking men and women of the legislature. Space at the State Capitol is very limited so you will need to pre-register for this event.

Apple Pie Tradition

Each year we have been able to deliver a homemade apple pie to all 147 legislators, the Governor and Lt. Governor. We are praying to be able to do so again this year. So please, bake & deliver pies whether you can attend the event or not. We want the governor, lieutenant governor, and every legislator to receive one! Combine efforts with friends in your area; some can bake pies and another can deliver!
