Session Topics

I’d Take Diapers Any Day

As physically exhausting as those early parental years are, most parents find them far less taxing than the emotional drain of the young adult years. Yikes! How can we transition our children through the various stages of life as gracefully as possible and release them into the world to make a difference for Jesus Christ without reaching total exhaustion?

When Things Go Wrong

What do parents do when worldly rebellion breaks into their homes?  How do parents navigate these disappointing and overwhelming waters?  Are their pitfalls to avoid? Principles to embrace? Hear the good news of biblical restoration.

Benaiah

What is biblical masculinity and how do we find the balance between the cultural extremes of machoism and effeminacy? One of David’s mighty men was a warrior priest named Benaiah whose masculine qualities are worthy of emulation in the lives of future men. In these talks we will discover key elements of biblical masculinity.

Build Your Stalls

Focused on young adults but beneficial for parents, this session will inspire both groups to take full advantage of the short time they have in preparation for adulthood. Discover both spiritual insights and practical tools for adulting. If we want to experience God’s blessings in the future, we need to prepare today.

Am I a Legalist or Influenced by Grace?

Any time externals standards are mentioned, charges of legalism abound.  Just because Christians and Christian homeschoolers have counter cultural standards, does that make them legalists?  Or are they, in fact, joyfully living out grace-filled lives?

Mothers Wrestling with Aging Sons (for Mothers and Dads)

Since mothers spend a great deal of time with their sons, what should this relationship look like and how should it evolve as their sons mature? What perspectives, strategies, and actions should moms be sensitive to in order to make sure this unique relationship continues to grow in a healthy way?

Fortitudine Vincimus! (By Endurance We Conquer)

In this talk we will take interactive lessons from the famed Antarctic ship, the Endurance, whose remains were found a few years ago. Why is endurance so important to life and especially to family life? Do not miss this exciting voyage that will cause you to see endurance in a whole new light.

Navigating Life with Nothing but a Rubber Band

Life is made up of various tensions. We see them in the Bible and in life. What parental tool(s) do we need to successfully navigate the waters of marriage and family in an ever-changing culture? A rubber band!
